Your Legacy To Angular
Yes, we have AngularJS 1.4 and 1.5, and now we are on to Angular 9!
For at least 8 years, the Gold Standard for legacy software modernization at the enterprise level has been Java – just ask Forrester or Gartner. Yes, Microsoft .NET is the #2 choice, and depending on whose figures you look at and what you include in the .NET category, Microsoft may be gaining ground. We don’t mind which one we do, we can handle both and help you pick the one that’s best for you.
In .NET, the front end of your web application will normally be implemented in some flavor of ASP, and for Java, JSP has been the way to go for a long time. But now, there is well proven technology that lets you build responsive and beautiful user interfaces – and it works for both .NET and Java implementations.
I’m talking about Angular (formerly AngularJS). ResQSoft now can modernize your legacy COBOL, VB, Oracle Forms, Powerbuilder, Software AG Natural (and over 40 others) to an Angular User Interface (UI) that comes with .NET or Java for a full enterprise web system implementation. We can do AngularJS 1.x and Angular 2-6; we keep up with each version a short time after it’s officially released). We even modernize legacy Java and ASP applications to Angular. We can convert JSP to Angular, how cool is that?
One of the great things about Angular is that it is production code that is easy to work with. Our developers can work with users to refine the UI during modernization, many times rearranging the UI on the spot to support exactly the functionality and workflow you want in your new system. Users can relate to a UI that they can see much better than the slow, expensive, requirements documentation that half the time winds up being wrong anyway.
And Angular is mobile-ready, out of the box. With a little forethought, your new application will be accessible on PCs, Macs, tablets, and phones, with no coding changes.
Will Angular become the new Gold Standard? We think it already has! But, the systems built with it are attractive and responsive – and since we generate the code, we can switch it for JSP or ASP or Thymeleaf or HTML if Angular falls into disfavor. Or the next great thing, when it crops up. We even create Python applications, and we use this feature to enhance our own tools!
If you want a good-looking system that runs on desktops AND mobile, and you want to be able to change your old system when you modernize it rather than just bringing the old one forward bit for byte, talk to us! We can convert Java JSP to Angular, and we can convert older Microsoft ASP to Angular also.
